"Final Frame"
The security camera covered the hallway outside the restroom.
It recorded continuously.
No sound.
Just grainy black-and-white footage.
Most nights, nothing happened.
Until one night, at 02:17 AM, the system flagged a motion event.
The hallway was empty.
The restroom door was closed.
The left stall was locked, as always.
The timestamp flickered.

Then, in a single frame, something changed.
The restroom door was open.
No movement before it.
No hand.
No shadow.
Just open.
The next frame showed the mirror inside the restroom.
There was someone standing in front of it.
But the reflection was wrong.
The figure was facing the mirror…
yet the reflection was looking straight at the camera.
In the final recorded frame, the stall door behind the figure was open.
The video cut to static.
When staff reviewed the footage in the morning, the file was corrupted.
All except one still image.
A frozen frame with a single word burned into the noise:
OCCUPIED
The camera was removed the same day.
The stall is still locked.
And no new footage has ever been recorded at 02:17 AM.
